Being Comfortable on Your Wedding Day

When it comes to your wedding day, comfortable attire can be a major factor in how much you enjoy your day. For the most part, wedding ceremonies usually consist of formal attire and people can become uncomfortable after hours of wearing the “monkey suits and glamorous form fitting dresses”.

The men usually tend to shed layers of their suits or tuxedos as the night goes on. First the jacket comes off and the sleeves get rolled up, then the tie gets loosened or lost altogether. That is an easy fix for them. The women, on the other hand, are usually stuck in their formal attire for the duration of your wedding day.

The bride usually has it worst off. The wedding dress is beautiful and costs quite a bit of money, but can become uncomfortable after wearing it for hours. They are usually restrictive and can become hot, especially if she has been tearing up the dance floor. The bridesmaids can be in the same boat too. One solution can be to change into a more comfortable “summer” dress after all of the formal pictures have been taken and everybody has gotten enough time to soak in the gorgeous bride and her maids. I know that the wedding dress is a huge part of the bride’s day, but loosening up and enjoying the reception can really be a big difference at the end of the day.

Keep the same colors of the dresses and make sure the bride is still in white, just switching to something a little less formal. Everyone will be enjoying themselves just a bit more because they are comfortable. I am not suggesting that people dress down for the rest of the evening, just a little bit cooler, unrestricted, and enjoyable.

Shoes can become a major issue as the day goes on. You will notice at many weddings that towards the end, all of the dancing women are usually barefoot. Try giving the girls some sandals of flip flops to change into to allow their feet a break from the high heels that they wore at the ceremony. Many times the men are wearing rented shoes and giving them the option to switch into a pair of black sneakers could really go a long way to getting them on the dance floor all night long.

All in all, it is your wedding day and you want it to be glamorous and special. Being comfortable is a very important part to making that day special.
